- The Resort is a family-owned and operated business that was built in 1971. What began as simply a dream of founder/developer, Mr. W. Courson Dowis, Sr. (1925-2005), the resort has become a family favorite in the area, with generations of families coming back year after year to enjoy the quiet, relaxing atmosphere. Known as a place to re-connect with family and re-charge your spirits, the PMCC Village has grown to become the second largest resort in the area. The cabins are each privately owned vacation homes. They belong to people like you that lovethe area, the outdoors, and enjoy a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. You can enjoy a beautifully decorated home where each interior represents the owners’ personal touch. The Dowis Family continues to work in daily operations to support and grow the business. This year a newly renovated Alpine Center and Lakeside Pavilion was opened that can host events, weddings, receptions and family reunions.
